Didn't know where to post this, figured it was some sort of insect.

My son is swearing he saw two green 'fish' shaped like sticks in my tank.
He said they were swimming up the glass and back and forth and through the decorations.
He said he thought he saw fins.
The fish/bugs were about 1/4 of an inch long and green.

We have

5 platies
2 glowlight tetras
and 1 peacock eel. (pretty sure it isnt baby eels, ha!)

He saw them this morning.
the only new thing in the tank is the plants my friend just sent me.
I have looked all over the tank and can't find anything unusual.
We even turned the light out for a bit and then checked again.

It's totally possible these guys came in with the plants, I just want to know what they are.
I'd hate to lose my fish to some dang bug.

As of yet, I can not find them to be able to describe them better lol.
Maybe the Eel ate them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think your kid is messin with your head :)

if the new plants came from a pond they could have insects on them but it is uncommon for them to survive in an aquarium. Keep looking if they are in there you will eventually find them
