 Hi I have just got home and my tank temp is 28oC. It is usually staedy 26oC. It is very hot here in Brum today!! Will this temp harm my fish?? I have turned the heater down to 24oC. I am due a water change should I do one or will the temp difference shock the fish. Help please. cool_jool

If you need to cool down the tank, put ice cubes in a plastic baggy and float it in the tank. I've also heard of blowing a fan across the top of the water. Just keep track of the temp. A water change will help, too. I don't think it harms the fish.

Good luck,
Valerie :)

that happens to me sometimes i just open a window and that cools the room down and in turn cools the tank down i dont think the fish mind it that much

don't panick i was told that as long as the temp gose up dosen't matter
i'm from uk to last tue my temp went up to 30 then i needed to cool it down fast :D

:) Thanks for the replys. The levels are all OK so I think I'll leave the water change till tomorrow - it is kindda late! The fish all look OK. I'm probably being an over worried mum!! cool_jool
