High Tech Betta Tank - Ideas?

Well il tell her its hers but really itll just be an excuse for me to have another tank XD

Don't get me wrong. This isn't anything against betta. I love betta, they are wonderful fish. It's just that when I look at the design I want to see a few smaller and more streamlined fish in it.

If you have an amenable betta then if you can't get hold of celestials, why not try some neon green rasbora?

Rasboras Espei's are lovely, and live well well with the Betta, so best of both worlds
I would try and get a larger piece of wood to hide the filter, ideally also restricting the flow heading straight towards the Betta.
I agree with the other design options put forward.

I had celestials they are shy. Very pretty but I like my white cloud minnows way better and they are cheaper.

You betta looks happy as can be. Very nice.

Amazing setup kudos
Add anubias and some cocnut shells like suggested
And more wood to make areas for him to swim around.

Try some ember tetra in there a nice school of about 6 will look great.
I've never had issues with them and betta, ever.
They are really quick and small and will look amazing against all that green.
