I bought a Salifert test kit today and did the check solution test which worked out spot on.
Testing my water it won;t turn the water pink so the reading must be high!!

Is this bad and does this have any connection to the low calcium and low ph? Will this be the cause of the poorly Elegance Coral?

How can I sort this out

Simon

I'm not familiar with the sailfert alkalinity test, unfortunately
But assuming you do indeed have high alk.,
It CAN cause your calcium to stay low, as can low magnesium.
It should not cause low pH, if anything it should cause high pH

I would have the alkalinity double checked with a different test kit and try to get a specific number, then go from there.

the test kit worked spot on with the calibration solution they put in?
