Hi, new here

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Gabe a SAHM to a 2 1/2 year old. Just this past summer I bought a 5 gallon tank and 5 Black Skirt Tetras. I actually only have four of the five left. One jumped out unnoticed I also have an algea eater but can't think of the name right now. I've been doing quite a bit of research on different kinds of fish. I would love to get a 20 gallon tank and get some Serpa Tetras to live with my Black Skirts.

Yes I sure am. It's like an addiction. I always want to buy new plants and such for my tank, but it is so small it will only hold so much. I would love to get a HUGE tank, but my house is very small with no where to put it. Plus with a little kid, I'm kinda scared he will do something and my tank will break. 5gallons of water is easier to clean up than 150gallons lol.

A 20 gallon is not huge but its a good fun size tank to have, you can fit quite a lot comfortably in and you can really make it look gorgeous if its the only tank you have Welcome to the forum, hope you like it here!

Hi, thanks for the welcome I'm planning to have 6 black skirt tetras(adding 2 to the 4 I already have) and 6 Serpae tetras. I do really like the Congo Tetra to though so I'm a little torn lol. I plan on using my 5gallon as a quarintine tank when I get my 20 gallon going, for at least a week or 2 after I get my new fish. But that won't be for a while, I gotta be employed before I start spending money lol.

It's funny that you said that b/c I was considering going to the pet store (although there are no actual pets there) near my house to see if they are hiring. Then I would get discounts on all my supplies lol.
