you will need to use ro water to do your waterchange.
do you know how much salt you use?
have you got a good CUC?

hows about a pic of the tank

When you say 'started' how started are you exactly? we can help you more if we know where you're up to! Also have a look through the journals, lots of info in them!

he got it from somebody else, i read this in welcome section

erm i would put pics up but dont no how sorry
when i say its set up i mean i got all the water in it all the salt and every thing that comes with the boyu tl 550
er some live sand and some live rock sorry if i never explaned my self

have you got test its? powerheads? heater? thermometer? does it have a skimmer?

set up a photobucket account

fishy 55599 to your question

yes i have thermometer i have a skimmer i have heater in my filers i also have live rock and i think its call polish filter wool? and the man i got it of mentioned carbon some thing in one of the filters.
the pump has been upgraded so the man said but i dont no what a standard one looks like this ones bright green that all i know sorry.he also said it has a uv light int the sprayer tubein or some thing.
please dont judge me by spelling as i have dyslexia sorry

some of those items i dont have, i dont have a filter or anything, but i think carbon should be changed every month?
you really need to get test kits and powerheads.
i would add more liverock for extra filtration nd more places for coral :good:

i will be getting more rock next saturday (payday :) ) iv been to my local aquatics warehouse and they said if i bring them a sample of my water every week they will test it for me to c when i can introduce fish :)
my salt is reading 1.021 on my hydrometer and the water temp is 26 degrees are these ok stats?

it may sound dump but im gonna ask lol whats a power head?

i would get a refractometer, as they are much more accurate than hydrometer, salt should be at 1.025 the temp is fine :good:
i would still get your own test kits also :good:

will go get some more bits sat as iv run out of money now lol a it being end of month and havein ya own flat we all know what its like lol
thanks for the advice any more will be very helpfull

yeah i know how you fell, spent around £90 just this week on fish, coral, cuc and skimmer
and now ive found a lovely coral garden which will be about £35
