Hi,
When I went to join this site earlier today, it said my username was already taken. That's unusual, as my username is pretty unique. I tried logging in, and discovered that I already registered over 5 years ago! I have no idea why I registered before without posting, but anyway I'm here now. I used to be a member of the aquamaniacs forum (now sadly defunct), which was great - this place really reminds me of the feel of aquamaniacs, friendly and welcoming.
I have been interested in aquatic life for as long as I can remember. My dad used to keep goldies, I started off with terrapins (this was back in the 80's, before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze). After a while I moved on to aquatic dwarf frogs - I even bred some of those (wow, what an experience!). I also used to have a large tank with lots of beautiful rainbow fish (Bosemans and Praecox). I had a betta and some shrimp too. Now I'm sticking to less demanding critters in a small (55l) tank (currently neon tetras, endlers, and an oto).
