Has anyone ever kept Hi-Fin Sharks (Myxocyprinus asiaticus)? I find it a really neat fish, and would like one if possible. Does anyone know the basic info? I will do some Googling, but I always consult this forum.

They get big (around 4 feet full grown) and develop a nasty temper when adult. They are also not tropical fish and need to be kept at cooler temperatures, 60 to 70f is their preffered range.

Not a suitable aquarium fish. The markings fade away and the high dorsal fin doesn't grow at the same rate as the rest of the fish, after a year or so, the fin is quite small relative to the rest of the fish.

They are often sold to unsuspecting people when they are small.
