Hi, everyone. I am a newbie into tropical fish. I was given a 10g tank and a couple of fancy goldfish a few months ago by my officemate. Well, I had no idea of fish-keeping at all (in retrospect, almost everything I did was wrong) and they didn't like the move either. To cut a long story short, they died a few weeks ago. 
I then decided to read up a bit about aquaria and do a better job this time.I got some better equipment, test kits etc. and re-cycled the tank without fish. Finally, on Saturday, I got six zebra danios since I heard they are good beginner fish and a small female betta which I couldn't resist
and have named Amphitrite. So far, everything seems fine - much better than my last experience . My tap water is a lot better suited to cichlids so might try and set up another 10g with them once I get a bit more experience.
