hi to all of you, just been browsing and must say you sound a friendly lot, i have been on a forum were it seemed as if us
newbes were left out, anyways my name is sheila i live in the
uk, cheshire. i have kept tropical fish now for just over 12 months , i nave 2 angels 3 rainbows 1 rainbowshark 2 clown loaches 3 bala sharks 4 cumingbarbs 2rosybarbs 5zebradanios
imalebetta & 1giant blue fan shrimp. phewwwwww. thats
a mouthful . anyways enough about myself hoping to hear
about some of you.

get another one soon. cause recently while visiting an aquatics,i saw some fruit crabs and thought they were great
so im going to read up on them and hopefuly get a few.

great to hear from you ,havnt been on the internet that long
as my partner usualy hogs it for his racing forums,now ive
found your website i sure will be changing that, he dosnt no
it yet .lol. had a look at your tanks, there great, lots of
red rainbows, i have 1 male red rainbow & 2 bowsemen rainbows, dont think i spelt that one right do you make allowances for newbe spelling mistakes, oh i noticed you
had a piece of bog wood in one of your tanks, only i got a
peace my self , its in a bucket of water soaking, i gave it a
good boiling first to help get rid of the tannins. just wonderd
how long i should soak it for before it is safe to put in my tank
as i have never used it before. and have been told that the
tannins that come from it can alter the ph.

this sure does sound like the best forum that ive found,
never been on this long before,my partners going to have to
install his self another computer, yes i like fun as well as
the serious stuf not feeling quite as new now

If you look at the third tank the bogwood in there is new.
I soaked it for a week until it would keep sunk. Then it's fine to put in the tank.
The tannin will leak for a while. Water changes will help the colour change. As for pH it's not a dramatic effect. But it will lower the pH. Whats your readdings just now

Glad you feel welcome. Just get him another puter. It's like my other half, she never gets the puter cos I run this place.

the bog wood i have will sink its a heavy piece.so ill give it
a couple more days then put it in. the ph reading is around 7.
the rolls reversed in this house cause i run this place
well i like to think so
