hi all

Tank should be 5 gallon minimum...larger would be even better. Post some pics when you get started.

Welcome!!! If you need a list of plant suggestions, decor ideas, or any other questions we are here to help!!!

ty all i got a 20 gallon 24l x12 w x12h. i was hoping to buy my plants from angelfin.ca however it is 200 bucks for shipping of 7 diffrent plants.
then after i cycle my tank. i was going to get some shrimp, to start then complete with 2 snails, 2 African dwarf frogs, 8 neon tetras and 8 rainbow tetras. hopefully my betta will get along with everyone, if not ill just have one hellova epic ecosystem tank.

Sounds like a very awesome tank! For plants, you could try looking on Ebay perhaps for sellers who ship to your location!

Many people do not recommend having frogs with fish because frogs have very specific dietary needs/specifications, which vary greatly from the needs of a betta.

Depending on your betta’s personality (do you already have the betta?) it could do very well with shrimp and snails! A lot of people feel that because bettas are solitary by nature, they shouldn‘t be mixed with other species, such as tetras. Many people keep bettas with neon tetras and have great success and happy fish though, it really depends on the individual betta and if you are willing to risk it not working out. I would probably try to stick to just one schooling species in your tank size, with the betta, shrimp, and snails

To add to what @OliveFish05 has already stated.... To many fast moving fish can stress a Betta out, so I agree on staying with one type of tetra, perferably a species that doesn't dart around the tank all the time. Be careful with the shrimp, it all depends on your Betta, he just might try and eat them. But the 20 gallon will go a long way to reducing aggression in a Betta. This is comparing your tank size to a five gallon tank.

i have a betta log i use to feed my betta in so he dosent lose his food in the substrate as for the frog and shrimp ill just get them dishes with a feeding tube and skip the cory possibly however if i line the front inch oe two of the tank with shallow sand i can probably get away with out needing to use the dishes.
