Heya, Stand Question

Ok basically I wanna go from a 48x12x18 tank to 48x15x18 tank, And stands are expensive. And I dont have the DiY skills to make my own, so I was thinking could I just add 3inches of support on to the back of the stand already?

i don't see why not, is the new tank supported on a frame or does it sit straight on the base?

I'd be very hesitant to say go for it. What kind of stand is your existing one? What kind of support were you thinking of adding? How were you going to attach it? A few more details are needed, and preferably some pictures of the existing stand.

Pictures gna be hard as tank is still on it but ill do my best and put some up tmorrow. Fittings is what I was leaving up to you guys as Im so crap and construction
