ive got guppies in a 60 ltr tank with a sand substrate but its bit messy and everytime i go to clean it up with a water change it muddies it and isnt doing a very good job, is there a better and easier way to clean this out. i was thinking maybe a bigger filter

With sand substrate, I use a hose, and wriggle the end near the sand to disturb the detriment on the top, then suck it through the hose pipe, however most of the crap congregates in one spot as my filters are quite powerful and stop it from setting, also my corys help disturb it, so the current take it away.
