what on earth is going onm how do i use my airstone i put it the water an nothing thats what lfs worker said to do can you help me please

if so to the above do you have an air flow regulator attached to the pipe which is hidden and could be in the locked position. not allowing air through

also if you have a pump, disconnect the tubing from the pump, turn the pump on, place the outlet nozzle close to your face, can you feel the air coming out ???
if so pump is working i not its a dud and needs to be replaced.

If it is connect the pipe to the air pump, and disconnect the air stone, put the pipe in the water turn the pump on, dos it make bubbles ?? if so your air stone is a dud and will need to take it back to replace it.

if no air comes out of the tube again check there isn't a blockage or a regulator in the locked position.

Does the air pump have a regular on it, mine has switch on the back that allows me to reduce and increase the airflow. if so try turning this.

if you dont have a air pump then you need one.

As snoopyfrench said it has to be connected to an airpump via some airline. If it is connected and the pump is running, but no air is coming out, then the pump is not powerful enough for the airstone in that depth of water. Or the pump is faulty.

lmao that is actually something i have known someone to do.... of course i cant say anything because i couldnt figure out how to get my filter to stop the grinding noise and pump water on my first tank.

Oh my...

check the pump
check the air lines
make sure your not back flowing water
make sure theres no holes in the line.
make sure its an airstone

Not a stone with some tape and a hose (that might not work)

also. if you have any pictures, ide love to see them.
