this is a great fish i think, maybe its just myne lol, but its not territorial at all, hovers at the glass to say all the time and is cool looking, i didnt want him at first cuz i thought hed b bad but hes mroe freindly than the clown right now, AND VERY FAST, i had to catch him to scarpe off fungal growth when i saw it, afterwards wich i coudlnt put iodine on the area.. but its all healed up and doing great. im proud i figured how to do it, a lil research helped alot!!!

just ur typical clown, although is fin still has a big oval taken out of it, but it hasnt spread. i dnt think its fin rot, maybe it was and its healing , or was he born like that? you cant see it in this pic tho its pretty hard to see..

also i didnt realize i put the wrong link for the image so hopefully itl do..

nice pics, but apparently it is better to have your heater at an angle, otherwise the heaterstat thinks it is hotter than it is as the heat rises to the top.

Nice tank and pics d:D

i know i know lol , i had em around and i put em in at the very beggining lol there fine for now tho. just till i get my other corals and stuff. without it it looks too plain.. it just adds mor color, b sides no 1 around here or in my fam knows the difference between freshwater platns and whats cool or not ect... ;)
ha ha i didnt kno that thnx, i was wondering why my heater was set at 73 degrees and the tanks temp was at 79 degrees, ill slowly tilt it and fiddle till it works thnks :)

How large is your tank and how long has it been set up? How much LR is in it so far? What's your maintenance regimen (Water changes, SW mixture, Water Tests you perform, etc)?

Just curious.:/

30 gallon, 25 pounds of live rock... been set up for uum since the end of march... finished cycling 2 weeks ago so i went out n got a few things a week after.. weekly water change 5 gallons of water... sw is 1.025 right now and i use instant ocean with distilled water, or i have water treatments for well water...and teste= ammonia, high ph, nitrate, nitrite, havnt gotten any other tests but when i do i will get alkalinity, calcium, phosphate, and dissolved oxygen, maybe some other things as well. why?

Why are you using that weird type of gravel and not crushed coral or similar? Also let me repeat whats already been said.... PLASTIC PLANTS?!?!?!

Ben :p

 I agree with the plastic plant comments but i think the tank looks really clean and healthy

When did you bump up you're LR to 25lbs?

Dan

Thanks for the information, it's appreciated. Didn't I say why, I was curious? I always ask people about their setups. It's one of the ways I learn, besides reading articles, and such.
You had more livestock than I expected from a usual nano, but now that you told me it's 30g, there you go! Your tank has also progressed rather quickly. As bunjiweb brought up, I'm also curious about your substrate choice.

The plastic plants are interesting, to say the least, but I understand why you put them there. It's the ONLY time I'll ever see cabomba, creeping jenny, some sort of ludwiga, and corkscrew valis in a SW.

ha ha ;) ya there hybrid plants lol, hmm well ya i was expecting my tank to finish cycling in june early june... but it cycled after i went out 4 weeks ago and bought 15 more pounds of live rock then it cycled rather quickly then, i decided i wanted a little more live rock.. it felt wrong to not, so i got another 5 pounds and then the weekend after i monitered it 3 days in a row and called my lfs and i went in and got what i wanted... im surprised it did go reather fast, but everything is doing gr8 so far, xcept my clown isnt eating atleast nothing i feed him but hes acting normal fast, and no sunken in stomach.. ;(.. but ya i added the lr 3 weeks after i got the tank set up, and the bottom, is a long story, when i first got into it i went to get everything expecting saltwater to be easy and just like fresh"just ad salt lol" but the guy said i couldnt do it and i needed to get expeience with freshwater, i wouldt take nor for an answer cuz a begginer has to start somewhere and not all start at freshwater... so i got my tank, pump, ugf, bedding and all the little extras, well thats what i got cuz the guy told me ide need it. well i bought it and soon found out alot of it was bad things to get but they would take anything back because it had already been wetted with water. so he made me get the wrong gravel, pumps, and i was angry but since i spent alot of my budget on it, i decided ide make it work.. i wanted to switch it to sand but the ugf cant handle it it would clog up and that would leave me with a crappy bio wheel to do EVERYTHING so i havnt touched it, and decided that ide leave it till i uprade to a 60 gallon in the future. a few years or so,, and im really excited.. one of my hitchikers was mysis shrimp an they stay on one side of the glass where alot of brown algae is and feed on it i think** and i guess theyl be extra food for my fish yaaay!!! hmm thats my story, but my lfs made a deal with my he took a 200$ sump mixed in with skimmer costom made so it does everything mixed together and it hangs on the back its kinda big. but he said i could have that and a fish of my choice for 175$ cuz i made freinds with him quick, its very cool and they use a larger one in their display, DISPLAY IS BEAutiful!!!! www.upscales.com

they have 4 displays the biggest i think is 300 gallons..hmm chrystal clear... but im making do, and everything is going good, though i wish i had invested in an algae scraper before i ran out of money... :(
