I notice my hermit was totally out of his shell and my shrimps were going crazy eating him. I tried to get him in the net but it was too late.... It was a bit of a viscous frenzy going on. Cant find his shell anywhere though.

Are you sure it was actually the hermit and not just it's shed skin?

Yeh I think it was twitching and it was attached to a white jelly?

The part of the hermit that goes into the shell is completely white so that might be what you saw. I'd keep an eye out and see if it was just a molt. Very rare for a cleaning shrimp to just go after a live hermit. (although i did once have a peppermint massacre my population of hermits in 2 nights).

Thanks Nemo, Im 99% sure it was the crab as his pincers were moving and he cut the shrimps anteni off... it was a viscous free for all, was quite shocked really he had two shrimps on him eating him alive and I couldnt save him in time.
