Since they are from Thailand I always give mine Thai names..after words that I think best describe them.

I think Japaense names fit too..since some people call them Japanese fghting fish..Japanese names are very pretty imo, and there are more of them. Here's a nice link:

thanks for the comments though everyone. was hard work taking all those pictures. over 450 shots, to get these sad shots..... i've mastered the art of the macro button, now if i oculd just get down the lighting issue, my beauties would look as good as they really do

....geez. Some of them look shocking! But some are also very bright and colorful.
What are you keeping them in? I used to keep bettas, none of which looked miserable like some there.
