Thanks people not bad for an LFS betta. but i think my local lfs has some very nice bettas. They alos had a turqouise body with see through fins but i had to buy this little guy! i love him to bits and hope i can breed him to carry on his ebautiful colours. Just to find a white female now..

Also is he a veiltail or a delta/super-delta i have had various people tell me different things

Hey that isn't drugs that I saw laying on the desk in that first pic of the tank shot? Nice betta. It's a veil tail as almost ever single fish store betta is.

p durbkat every time before i go to bed i sniff some freeze dried brine shrimp lol! gets me to sleep. Thanks for teh replies people! is a veiltial or delta/superdelta thoguh

He's a VT A very pretty one though! I have one like him, except he has red spots on his fins.
Make sure you do tons and tons of research before you start breeding, get homes lined up in advance, get a nice breeding pair off aquabid (or whatever site you would buy bettas off) etc. Good luck if you do decide to do it, I know I wouldn't be able to handle it, too much money and time, both which I don't have a lot of!

no site bettas just from my lfs. im only going to breed if i get the 30 gallon i asked for for christmas. if not hes gna live a boring life lol. not that me looking after him is boring lol thnks people

To live a happy live, he doesn't need to breed. You do not want to breed a betta from a petstore as you do not know their genetic background (so you could end up with ANYTHING), you'll end up with mostly all veiltails, which there are already so much in this world, so they will be hard to home. You can't sell them on aquabid for much, I doubt anybody from here will buy them, as you can get a VT at any regular petstore. I'm assuming since you don't already know this, that you haven't done any research at all, so please check out some sites and read as much as you can before even deciding if your going to breed. You need much more then a 30 gallon tank.

Well isn't that nice you have to sniff stuff like freeze dried brine shrip and glue to go to sleep, hey kids if you ever have trouble sleeping just sniff some glue or brine shripe.

Yeah, a VT, from the description you gave me he sounded like a SD but thats a veil.

i have a little gas heater on permanently in the room and i sometime have a small space heater in ther but the door is always shut so it keeps the heat in

I would advise you to not run the gas heater in the house because it puts out carbon monoxide in the room and will kill you and maybe the fish since you can't smell carbon monoxide.
