Hi,

I've been taking this legal plant extract of the Indian ashwaganha plant which I bought on Amazon and it's been pretty good in terms of its relaxation effect, it gives you really vivid dreams too if you take it two hours prior to bedtime, however, I was wondering do any of you take any interesting herbs that are relaxing or stress busting?

Umm.. no. I am 15, so I’m not really in need of that stuff.

I am able to calm down and clear my mind when I exercise or go for a run.

I'm eating cake and ice cream in bed and feeling pretty relaxed if that's helpful? Otherwise I'll just chase the dragon

Cake and icecream are the way to go

My doctor wants me to start on CBD oil for pain:dunno:

I don't really "chase the dragon" btw lol. CBD does work and is beneficial. It isn't what makes you high either, that's the THC. But relying on a pain killer is not the way you want to go, if you can help it. Save all that for when you're old and battered from raising fish

I'm not 15 either but I want to know if it works and you get good dreams. Mine have been boring lately. (ut that's better than the nightmares I was having when we first went into lockdown).

I'm a qualified clinical hypnotherapist, and also practice meditation (though not as often as I used to) and deep breathing - these are good relaxation techniques

I figured ;)

Yeah I have chronic pain that keeps me from doing normal things like walking up the stairs lol so at this point if it helps I'll take it. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen dont help, the only thing that did was acetaminophen/codeine tablets from my doctor, but that's also not good to be taking lol so I've been going without painkillers

Painkillers can be abit of a messy drug, it's so easy to go the other way and develop a habit. I'm not a doctor or anyway qualified to advise anyone on medicine so I guess you'll just have to trust your doctor and do what they tell you lol. I can only speak from experience I guess and anything that can intoxicate is not good for me  cake and ice cream can release my endorphins and align my chakras these days
