As a surprise, for my birthday, I got to go to Omaha, NE last weekend. One of our stops was the Henry Doorly Zoo which is huge, we didn't even make it through the entire zoo but I still managed to take entirely too many pictures.

These are part two of the non-fish pics (hence posting in this section :hey: ), check out my topics in the fish pic section as well.

This final set of pics (of the zoo anyway  ) are all taken in the Desert Dome. It's very cool, as you go through you kind of spiral down and see different desert zones, eventually you end up under the dome in a swamp/nocturnal exibit. Here's some info: Desert Dome , Nocturnal exibit.

I wish I was anything near a professional, or even a professional amateur. I just like taking pictures, but I'll certainly take any compliment I can get. I'm actually thinking of taking a class w/my uncle's girlfriend to learn how better to use my camera. :good:

You "got" to go to Omaha? Many people run away from Nebraska! I live in Kearney, about two hours west of Omaha. I hope you enjoyed it...

I did enjoy it, it was a lot of fun. And believe me, Omaha is better than Topeka, just about anywhere is for that matter.
