Hi Guys,

I currently have 2 fancy tailed goldies in a large tank with 3 filters and twice weekly water changes, but i am finding it very hard to keep the temperature low.

the tank is situated in the dining room and the heating is never on in that room, it is not in direct sunlight but the temp remains at 75f, is this to high for them.

Also another question, are there any plecs that can live with my goldies or is this a complete no no.

Thanks

the temperature is ideal for fancy types.
as for other tank mates, if the temp is constant then you can get bristlenose plecs which do well with them and if you have a fast current on the back wall then hillstream/butterfly loach does well too. stay away from c.a.e's and common plecs.

bogwood can lower the ph if theres a lot of it so do you know what the reading for it is now in the tank? goldies dont mind it though.
