I noticed our pregant guppy had gotten her tail stuck in the filter so I pulled her out (carefully) but she definatley wasn't well.
Now a couple of hours later she was floating stuck to the filter again (on the outside this time)with a bent tail! Think she's blead a bit too (can see it underneath the skin). The break is about halfway down the 'tail bit' of the body.
She can't swim properly but i'm not sure she was 100% anyway (newish tank, only done a nitrite test but all appears ok, less than 0.1mg/L).
What to do? Any chance at all of a recovery? We could put her in with the fighting fish to keep her out of the current but I don't have high hopes...

One other female guppy and a 8mm baby guppy and a Siamese fighter (in its own enclosure). Don't think any of them is the culprit.

yep the simease fighting fish!! how many liters of water have u got!!

Any chance you have a hospital tank? If you did, your guppy might do well in isolation with the addition of some melafix and a little salt, and water changes to keep up the water quality.

Also, does your filter have an adjustable output? It sounds like it's on the strong side-- turning it down would be helpful, if that's possible. Good luck, HTH~

dats wot i thought, put in a little salt. do u have a clown loach? if u do u cant add salt.

<sighs> too late. But I don't think she was healthy anyway because a healthy guppy wouldn't have gotten stuck in the first place.
We've turned the filter down as low as it will go in any case to try to salvage the last two guppies. Having no luck with them...
