I bought a betta today and thought it would go with my 3 spot gouramies.
But it didn't
The gouramies are constantly nipping at the fins and the betta is hiding away
Whenever it comes out the gouramies approach it and start nipping at the fins
Any solution to this problem other than taking it back to lfs and buying new tank or bowl?

bettas and gouramis are usually a very bad mix. your only option is to remove the betta i'd say.

yup. take the betta out immeadiately before there is any more damage done to it by the gouramis. it's not your fault, you didn't know. :look:

if you have an extra bowl the betta could be in temporarily, use that. last resort: investigate your kitchen. :p  if you can, betta's really prefer heated water. perhaps you could suspend a bowl in the tank floating on the water's surface? I used a hair clip to hold a bowl to the side of my tank when my fry were unexpectedly born. (yay for being unprepared me!) I did that because it kept drifting towards the filter.....

anyway, best of luck to you and your betta.
