Hi all,

Got home from work tonight and my guppy was lying at the bottom of the tank, he looks realy pale and i thought he was dead. i put the net in to pull him out and he is still breathing so i put him back, he just sank straight to the bottom again, he has gone a bit red under his gills but everywhere else just looks pale.

Is there anything i can do for my little payson? is it an illness or just age? i've had him for just over a year.

Please help me :(

Bless poor little guy :-(
But i think its fishy heaven for him I'm afraid and maybe it would be kinder to put him to sleep.. they can hang around for hours or days like that. poor little things and its not nice to watch either. Ice water is the quickest and most painless way.. it only takes a few minutes, just make sure there is no chest movment before you remove them.

Good luck :-( .. we'll be thinking of ya :byebye:

Hi all,

Bad news, i got up this morning and found my poor little Payson had passed. He will be sadly missed. His blue colour lit up the tank and he was always the first up for food.

Will my other guppy cope being on his own or should i get him a new friend?

Rest in peace my little fishie x x x :byebye:
