hes starting to look really pale and hes darting around the tank... what should i do what should i do what should i do... hes still in his 5.5 gal at the moment... temp at 79 i dunno what to do

Noticed any spots or anything else funky or different?

Do you know your water parameters?

dont know the water parameters.... no it was like 2 weeks ago.... hes losin his colour on his anal and i think ventral fins... (the 2 other ones that are on the bottom...) in the ventrals(?) hes losin his black and on anal hes losin his red

Hello. The darting around could be a sign of parasites. Try to notice if the fish rubs its chin or gills on the tank sides, or on plants, etc. If it does, it has parasites of some sort. Losing the color could be a result of the stress it is going through, but could also be the marble gene in effect. Not knowing the background of the fish makes it hard to know for sure.

I agree it kind of sounds like a parasite. What does his poop look like?

hes not rubbing... hes mainly hiding... hes darting around a hell of alot... i dont think hes marble... like hes solid cept for a little wash on his anal and black and red on his ventrals but thats the same as his membrane when he flares... the only time he wont hide is if im sittin there and if anyone comes within like 5 feet of the tank he hides... its sorta hard though because of where he is right now... hes next to the hallway so people gotta pass him... its just i moved where his tank was and there was alot of waves in the tank and not being around me i think thats what did it... and im sorta worried cuz hes not eating... i cant get him outta the plants long enough to look at food

Get him something that sinks like bloodworms or brine shrimp. That way even if he is hiding in his plant, the food will fall right in front of his face.

yea well hes not wanting the food neways... i think im not gonna pressure him to eat cuz normally he has such a little appitite... it could also be that once and a while my mom has been feeding him recently because she thinks im getting up to late to take care of him 2:30 pm lol
