i had 6 molly fry in a separate tank that are now 5 months old. in the past week 3 have died but i haven’t been doing anything different?

can i home them with my adult mollies now as they are 5 months and about 2cm long. i have a whip tail pleco arriving tomorrow that is going in the big tank will that be okay with my fry?

help!!! thank you :)

The fry will be fine with the adults.

If the babies have a disease and you put them in with the adults, the adults could die. You need to find out why the babies died and then see about moving them?

Can you post some pictures and a short video of the remaining fish?

If the fry are only 2cm at 5 months old, they haven't been fed enough. They should be full grown by now (about 8-10cm).

I wouldn't keep whiptail catfish and mollies together because they come form completely different water. Mollies need water with a pH above 7.0 and a GH above 250ppm. Whiptails come from water with a pH below 7.0 and a GH below 100ppm.

What is the GH (general hardness), KH (carbonate hardness) and pH of your water supply?
This information can usually be obtained from your water supply company's website or by telephoning them. If they can't help you, take a glass full of tap water to the local pet shop and get them to test it for you. Write the results down (in numbers) when they do the tests. And ask them what the results are in (eg: ppm, dGH, or something else).
