As i posted earlier my rainbow fish keeps on attacking my pangasius 2" and won't leave him alone. my pangasius is going under stress problems and just sits at the top of the tank often being chased by the rainbow i need help straight away. Pronto! i cant buy fish at the moment or medicine.

The only other thing to do is separate. Either put one of the fish into another tank or buy/make a tank divider.

i cant when i put my pangasius in my breeding/isolation tank he JUMPED OUT!

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't pangasius get HUGE?

Yes. When i last put my pangasius in a isolation/breeding tank he JUMPED OUT! and i found him hiding and shaking all over underneath my bridge ornament! :shout:

They can get to four feet in wild and paroon sharks to 8 feet. lol

Do you have a tank large enough for a four foot fish?

if he jumped out how was he underneath an ornament? You don't mean you were putting him in a little breeding trap do you?

That's how I read it too.

You really have some poor stocking going on here.

yeh a breeding trap but without and things blocking it was for his own safety

You can't put a fish like that in a breeding net and expect it to be ok with it!

You need to SEPERATE these fish or put them in an adequate sized tank. I suspect you won't though.

hes 2" and i was only for a day to help him recover

Tell me thats wrong. Tell me thats WRONG!

Help him recover by stressing him out further?

You would be better off trying to rehome this fish. What are you going to do when it starts growing?

I take it you don't have any spare tanks to PROPERLY separate them? A breeding trap won't 'help it recover' because it's trapped in a tiny space with nowhere to hide - in fact that might stress it to death anyway. If you don't have any spare tanks you need to buy or make a tank divider.

listen i knew it would stress him but it was to stop the rainbow stressing and attacking him. i am getting 5 gall soon so will house him in that for couple of days so that he recovers. and i know that it isnt big.
