Hi,

One of my blue gourami's side fins seems to be shrunken, brown, and almost attached to his body. His other side fin is fine and sticking out but the other fin is drawn in very close to the body and seems not to be functioning. It seems brown and shriveled up. It's also been hiding away. I don't think it could have gotton in a fight with any other fish because it's been fine in the tank for months now. Could it be a disease?

Someone please reply and tell me if there's anything I can do!

Thanks,

Aaron

P.S. I just noticed that my other gourami has white dots on his fin and I think that might be a disease like ICK or something? Is this the case? Could this be the problem with my blue gourami?

P.P.S. I just saw my marigold swordtail picking at the poor blue gourami's fin. Could that be the problem or could it still be a disease and the swordtail's just taking atvantage of the sick gourami?

go to petsmart and get a 3 or 4 dollar container for a bit and then contemplate your situatuion

Do you have net he could go into? Just the regular net you use to catch him with. It should be possible to balance the net on the edge of your tank until you can do something more permenant about him. I can't help you with the problem you have with him.
