My terrapin has swolen eyes which wont open and a stuffy mouth and nose also...what is this? Does anyone hav any advise or a number i can ring for help?
 
I'm fairly new to terrapins so can't advise you but Wayne from Turtle Rescue was great, spent an hour on the phone making sure mem and my new turtles were OK. See below -good luck!

Thank you, I got him treated at a vets...fingers crossed he should pull though :)
 
It was a secondary infection caused by a lack of some vitamins, he had an injection an now i hav 2 try an make him eat an medicate him myself...pretty imposible at the mo. Thanx 4 ur help :)
 
they sell reptile vitamin dust in most petstores. simply wet the food you are feeding and sprinkly the dust on top. feed out of the water (on its basking area) so the turtle ha s to taek a mouthful into the water. less chance of the vitamins washing off if you feed this way. only use the dust three feedings a week.
hope the turtle gets better for you. dont get discouraged-they are notoriously slow to heal.
