OK so things were going well and i did a water change with some of my LFS's already salted ro water, then as a noobie to this i did not test the salinity before adding it to my tank! Already stated it was 1.025 (same as mine) at LFS but turned out it raised my levels to 1.028 in one go! Anyway everything in my tank was fine (not much in it yet) 2X red leg hermits and 1 bumble snail, however my 4 x turbos have not moved hardly at all! a couple of them have poked a head out but that was it, its been more than 48 hours now and i have brought the salinity back down to 1.025 (gradually). Is it possible that they are in shock or are they doomed? Another lesson learned! All other tests are fine and 0. I added a cleaner shrimp and blood shrimp also and they are doing fine, love them!

If it were me I wouldn't worry Matty. Snails are fickle creatures and more sensitive then people realise, but if your shrimps are ok, then things should be fine

Thanks for the reply, yes lesson learnt . Will leave them to it for a while and see what happens. Its now time for a couple of clowns! . First fish!

Now your asking me to spell lol. Percula? x2. Depending what the LFS has. So many fish dont know what to go for after that. Well it will be weeks till i can add anymore anyway so time to think. Must start a journey!

When you go to buy your percs, remember to look for juvies, don't be tempted to buy big fish. It's really fasinating watching them grow and then one becomes the female. If you have to wait to pick up some babies, then wait

Will definately pick up some youngsters lucky all LFS that have them in always stock them young! Except the maroons which always seem adult to me!
