I am having trouble with one of my tanks. I have 6 planted tanks and haven't had a problem getting anything to grow before. In one of my 55's nothing will grow! I can't even get H. polysperma to grow.

I use straight RO to fill up to tank (for some fancy plecos) could this be my problem?

yes undoubtedly, neat ro water should never be used it should always have its levels raised to the required level.

failing that it could be lack of good substrate, light or ferts.

I would think the RO water, as it doesn't contain any nutrients or minerals.
