Well first off, I got a Firemouth Cichlid yesterday, the guy at Petsmart told me to get floating pelets, but Dragon (my Firemouth) stays in the plants and never goes to the top!!!!!! I gave Dragon some sinking goldfish pelets but I haven't seen him eat anything!! I'm afraid my Pleco (Jerry) is eating it before he can find it. Please tell me how to get him to come to the top... or at least eat something!!!!
I wouldn't worry to much at the moment, a lot of fish can take a few days to settle in and start eating. I once had a fire eel that took 2 months to fully settle and come out for food rather than living of scraps. Your fish could go a week plus with out any problems.
