o man that looks aweful!!!!!! i would move the fish from the 20 to the 10 and help these poor guys........and don't give em back  i don't know what the others are the grey striped one looks like a convict but i'm not sure. good luck the fishies will thank u

OMG! What size tank are they living in at the moment? Personally I would definately just take them and do what I could to get them a better home.
If you can't do it yourself, ask your local fish store if they can take them in for a while, until you have your plans set out for them, but for sure I would get them out of the situation they are in as soon as possible!!!!!

There is one electric yellow in the front as far as I can see and a convict.

Definatly make arrangements and move them. Give the guys tank a good cleaning and water change. Also make sure to clean his filter out. If his tank is that bad Im positive his filter is in rough shape. Also how big is his tank? That oscar should be in a 55g at least with no other occupants. Also it appears he has S. American and African cichlids mixed in that tank. When he comes home be sure to sit him in the corner for a time out and tell him he's been a naughtly little monkey :p .

its a 27 gallon  i took the 2 black ones and put them in my 20 gallon for now...i dont know what else to do?? the yellow one is very very aggresive so i dont wanna put him in with them just yet but i will try to figure out something

That is very odd that the yellow would be aggressive
They are usually quite peaceful....mine are very shy.

That oscar for sure should be put in some cleaner water though....they are very prone to hole in head disease...... :X

Not just that!!!! I think he needs a spanking too!!! (not a nice spanking, use a wooden spoon) :X ;)

lol :p the oscar i just cannot deal with, they are so messy and big and no i just cant, the yellow one is still over there any more ideas what i can do with him???

A large plastic tub and a airstone would make a decent temp home for him. Just do small water changes daily until another option comes up.

oh ya and i guess i should mention he also doesnt want to give the oscar up it took me 2 weeks of constant bothering to convince him to give me the 3

Well if he is not going to care for them.....why the **** does he care which or all that you take!!!!!? Less bother for the lazy...............guy. :/

you know!!!! some men(sorry guys) but i guess its cuz he is actually watching them for another guy and i have to say this guy has cleaned it alot since he had it but you know how oscars are anyhow i guess they arent really his place to give away but i know that other loser is not coming back for them.i told him if he does send him him to me,i'll f***** tell him where to go...lol

Speaking of oscars....I was just at one of the lfs's and I ran into a owner of another fish store that I know.....same situation guy left on holidays and friend babysat, finally the friend just brought in the fish cuz they looked sick....anyway in his tank he had 4 oscars all 8" and 3 convicts (adults).....

IN A 33 gallon!!!!!!

Stories like this just p*** me off.....

I overstock my 90 to cut out aggression, but I have the thing filtering 845gph and all my fish are extremely happy!!!

I wish people could keep themselves a little more informed and realize that a really cloudy tank and gasping fish really does mean there is a problem!!!!

ARGH!
(sorry venting)

so they look like they are enjoying the new tank i tried to feed them a little bit of brine shrimp they picked at it a bit but werent too interested.so what do these guys usually like to eat??and temperatures??any info would be great because i know nothing about these fish.is a 20 gallon suitable or should i go tank shopping again???

...well you did make your own fish give up their tank....and your new fishies would definately be more comfortable in a 33+......so I guess that is up to you to decide :p

Personally I would get another tank for them and make them feel like they are in heaven (compared to their old home) Kinda like what I did for my 2 fronts who now live in a 180g....I love those guys :*)
