JUst bought a bit of coral, and while it is floating in my tank , a spiky star fish has crawled out in to the bag. The star fish is really spikey and looks stripy.
Will this be ok in my tank.
I have a scooter blenny, 2 clown fish, a orange star, soft corals, trumpet coral, flame scollape.
Thank you for any advice.
Chris

Yeah I got a free serpent star once too, its really small and I am looking forward to watching it grow. They are good detritus cleaners and when they grow bigger, they keep the sand sifted through and oxygenated. Good cleaners.

My LR has been a huge source of free sea stars. Even after my tank broke and the rock was dry for hours, I put some into my 10 gallon clown tank and the rest in a tank to try to keep the cure, I still have hundreds of small brittle sea stars. I have little legs sticking out everywhere. Nothing to worry about.

Ok Thanks alot guys. Just was a bit worried as i had a mantis shrimp come in on my first match of live rock. It took me ages to get rid of him and didnt want to do it all ova again.
