:hyper: We have a pregnant guppie in our tank. What do we do? We've never had guppies before let alone a pregnant one. How do we know when she's going to have her babies. Please help!

Naubelle, if you go back to the thread you started in the Fish Emergency section, you'll find that Alien Anna and I are trying to help you. :)

if you look at it from behind the female from behind her belly has more of a square shape with corners than round.SHe is going to give birth pretty soon.

Try not to move her too close to giving birth, ie very fat! as she could abort the pregnancy!

Goodluck with it

;) Do you want to keep the fry. If so then I advise to at least get a breeding net. Will give more info if you want to keep them.

The reason I tried to steer her back to the original thread is because she'd already told us there that the tank is an uncycled one gallon jobby. I really don't think she's set up for saving fry.

my guppy had babies yesterday and I only moved her into the net 3 days ago the best way to tell how far they have to go is when you look at the rear of your guppy you will see a darker coloured (what looks to be like a ball) as she gets closer to having fry that dark spot will travel down her body and when it gets really close to her rear end then you know shes not far away from having them
