Well yesterday I finally picked up my first fishtank, which was a 24 Gal. Aquapod. I wanted something of decent size and this was adequate for what I was looking for. I'm still new to the hobby so I figured it'd be good to start with this. Anyways I'm going to ask you for some help on setting it all up. Here's what the pet shop told me to do:
1) Fill tank with tap water, which I got from the water hose and then add chemical.
2) Add the salt and then check for correct gravity level.
3) Add live sand
4) Let the tank cycle.
So far I've gotte to step 2, but I need to get the gravity level to the right spectrum. It's really high at the moment, what do you recommend? I was thinking about removing some water and then putting in more tap water to neutralize it, but would I need to retreat the water with chemical? Thanks!
