Hi, I also posted in the african cichlid section for different suggestions.

I am really having a tough time picking out cichlids that would work well together in my 60 gallon
(48" long) tank. I have a gravel bottom with fake plants and a big jaguarskull that works very well as a cave. I will also be adding a few more caves in the tank but I really don't want to over decorate the tank with too many plants and caves.

What are the best combos of new world cichlids that have worked well with you? I really need some help and suggestions for this tank. How many of each kind, ect...

thanks guys

Myke , I would read through this forum and you may come up with some Ideas . With a tank that size you may want to stay away from from the bigger guys , but there are still many choices . Read the posts and replies , if you see something about a fish [ or fishes ] that interests you , make an inquiry .Also you could pick up a book or 2 about cichlids . Learn as much as you can before you have the fish . There are many experienced fish keepers here more than willing to help you . Find something you like and ask about it . Good luck
