Hi

I have recently decided to re-scape my 70L tank.

Tank specs:-
Size: 70L
Filter: fluval 205
Lighting: All pond solution overtank lighting 2 x 24w T5 bulbs
Substrate: cat litter and sand
plants: blyxa japonica and lilaeopsis brasiliensis...plus a temporary amazon sword. (have more japonica and brasiliensis to add if needed??)
fish: 15 cardinals and 6 peppered corys

I have some Seachem Flourish Excel and some TPN+. My question is how much should I be dossing? and should I be dossing weekly or daily? I am hopping to get some pressurised CO2 set up at the end of this month. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks Jay

That looks lovely, I really like the idea you've got with the wood and the plants behind it - I like that amazon sword, why aren't you keeping it? Btw, I've heard they're hard to uproot once settled in, so watch for that if you wish to move it :good:

Most people tend to divide up the weekly/fornightly reccommended dose of ferts/CO2 and dose daily. Not sure about Flourish, but I believe Easycarbo (a very similar product) recommends to dose daily.

Hey thanks for the reply, I have read on here that people believe easycarbo to be a better option but I already had bought the flourish!! I kind of like the sword to, I just have loads of it in my other scape and it seems to take over and shade the other plants, so I guess I will just see how it goes. The breaking down of the recommended weekly dose makes sense and the excel has on the side the weekly amount but I seem to have misplaced the TPN+ instructions so have no idea how much this is!! I also wasn't sure if lighting and amount/type of plants would effect dossige?

Look up TPN+ on google, no doubt you'll find some dosing instructions. I'm afraid I don't have TPN+ or even TPN, so I'm sorry I can't help you too much there.

TPN+ is 1ml per 20L daily and Excel is 1ml per 50L daily I'd dose 2ml Excel and 4ml TPN+ daily in there mate. The best liquid carbon suppliment at the mo is AE own brand I believe, it's the strongest.

just passing through to say how nice that looks.

I would be looking to hide the filter & heater behind the decor/plants though
