I just got 2 new crowntail boys on Saturday. They seem very active and happy most of the time. This morning when I went to take pics of them one of them was kinda resting on the bottom, and the other had his tail laying on the bottom so he looked kinda like he was sitting up up. I know my other 7 bettas rest/sleep in their plants, and I don't yet have plants in with my two new ones, could this be what they are doing? As soon as I went and showed them attention they were swimming around their tanks and acting fine. Please help me and let me know if this is normal. I will have pics up in a moment, I even got one of my little blue guy laying down.

I have one boy who doesn't have plants yet, and he does that all the time. It's just them finding something to rest their fins on... I imagine carrying something as big as your body around with you all the time must be hard. ;)

Sounds like perfectly normal behavior to me. Mine without plants do it all the time.

Yup, sounds normal. They all have to sleep, plant or no plant, some are bottom sleepers and some are top sleepers.
