can someone give me some advice about murky water in my tank,we have a filter and have been changing 10-20% of the water but this doesnt seem to help,we feed the 5 fish twice a day and we have a 30 litre tank,we have only had the fish a couple of months and already the water is dirty,can anyone help?

Hi there and welcome to the forum :) .
How often have you been changing the water and what types of fish do you have in the tank and how large are they? Is the water a cloudy/milky colour or green or some other colour? Do you use dechlorinator/water conditioner and what is your average tank cleaning regime like in detail and how often do you do it?

What type of goldfish do you have exactly and what temp is the tank?

Ideally, you should do a 30-60% water change with dechlorinator at least once a week, if your tank has only been set up for a month then it will still be cycling, i strongly recommend you read this article as it will explain much on how the water quality in your tank works and what "cycling tanks" are etc;

The green water would indicate an algae bloom, however such blooms can be caused by numerous things. I would advise testing the tank for nitrates in particular amoungst other things, as nitrates are the end product of the nitrogen cycle i.e. cycling process in your aquarium and in large levels, nitrates can fuel algae blooms since nitrates also act as plant fertilisers.
Does the tank have any lighting at all?
