Help With Hoplo Catfish Please

Ok so i bought 2 hoplo catfish earlier.... put them in my tank but now im worried and just wanted to hear your opinion please.

When speaking to a friend of mine who keeps fish. she said she had one of them before and it ate some of her fish and was very agressive to the others... so i came home and looked online but it seems to say on what i can find that they are peaceful fish?? im confused

So does anyone know if they will eat my fish or if they will be ok? obviously i wana know sooner rather than later so i can rehome them if it is the case.

what are they in with?
IME they are very peaceful and should be fine with most other species,

They are with gouramis, plec, barbs and some other silver fish but not sre what they are called lol

um no there not aggresive i have a hoplo catfish and ive kept it with guppy fry, all the way up to now the oscars and others, its fine,,,,maybe your friends fish died the gotten eaten after buy them,,,,,had it now for four years

Just wanted to chim in on this: I have two of these goofy fish and they are extremely peaceful. The only thing bad about them is that they never stop eating and can steal food from other fish. Mine greet me when I come into the room and start begging for food. Who can resist?!
