Hey guys, I just noticed my betta acting weird lately, dashing around and not eating well, the opposite of his normal behavior. Then I noticed this weird white thing protruding from near his tail. He’s usually super active and great at hunting, but when I dropped in some black worms today, they all sank to the bottom without being touched by him. He didn’t seem to even see it, so I took a frozen bloodworm out instead. He darted to it and grabbed it before dashing away again, something he never does. Appreciate any help guys.

Check the water quality for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH.

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.

Have you tried gently scraping the blob off with your fingernail?

Not yet, as I’m not entirely sure if that would do more harm than good. And I use rodi water for changes.
