Hi everybody!!

i think i have white spot, by the look of a couple of fish, and have also lost quite abit in the lasy couple of weeks, its a new set up ( a 36" by 15" x 15" ) i did have a 24" tank which had some of my old fish in, so i set the new 1 up and left this 4 just under 2 weeks 2 settle with all new air pump and filter stones everything basically!put the fish in and within a couple of weeks im losing them really quickly and have never had anything like this b4? i bought new fish about 3-4 days after putting my old fish in. ive bought a water ph test kit and thats light green so thats fine? i also took a water sample up to the fish shop where i get my fish from and that was also fine, so i dont kno what elso 2 do, i also done a water chance this morning, oh and i think my water temp is ok its 78.

sorry if that sounds a total mess, but im new to all this forum business lol plus ive never had this sort of trouble since ive had a tropical fish set up, i dont really know 2 much about problems if u know what i mean cause i aint had any b4.

hope some1 out there can help me :look: :look: :look:

Very useful signature!! Maybe you should put what the temp should be raised to and that salts are good if the fish are all tolerant?

Good Luck with your fish clio_man :)

I wouldn't think so, I always treat my fish with meds to be honest. What fish have you got, do you access to aquarium salt (some fish cannot have salt, eg loaches and cory cats)? Salts often help meds work and can reduce stress.

It's a good idea to put the temp of the tank up to 82F or so as this speeds up the life cycle which can be around 21 days. I personally put the temp to 82F and treat for 21 days to try and be sure to get well and truly rid of it.

ok ill try that, i did have clowns but ive lost them and i lost a plec and albino bottom feeder fish, and neons etc, that why im really concerned as i looked a couple of days ago after i keep losing fish and put it down 2 a new set up and put them in 2 quick, then looked again and noticed a couple of fish with small white spots on and thought that was the reason, but had a good look at the fish that i lost and they looked all fine then just died really quickly??

Maybe it's a combination of both. What are your parameters? Maybe there's something up with them?

signature updated thanks to you cheese boy

and thanks for the pm you sent me last time, very much appreciate your support

see your 1st 3 posts on this thread? your sig didn't appear

anyways, send me your photo... please?

then what's the point of having a signature? you should have the satifisfaction of forcing people to scroll extra half a page if they want to read on.

By saying that "send me your photo" that means I'm asking you to send me your photo but I sense that you won't, won't you? :/

I just don't know why you'd want one. I don't take photos of me, just my fish. I think I have one in the member's pictures thread but that might be over at ACC thinking about it.
