Any decor in the tank where it could've got stuck ?

It looks like it has some slime over production, the tail and some fins also show signs of slight fin rot. Probably caused by weakening from the "injury".

Has this appeared suddenly or it developed slowly ? How is the mouth looking ?

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately the fish passed shortly after I posted. All other fish in the tank seem OK for now. Unfortunately it all happened very suddenly.

Yeah, it looked like it could be Hemorrhagic Septicemia, which is internal and has no known cure. It is caused by an internal viral or bacterial infection. I read that you could try to treat by feeding with medicine-treated food using antibiotics.

Thanks, yeah I had my concerns it could be that. Does anyone have any recommendations for antibiotic food which can be purchased in the UK? Frustratingly I had just finished quarantining some fish in the tank with this fish (for 8 weeks) before moving them into my main tank. So I could have 2 infected tanks. So any guidance or preventative measures would be appreciated.

Unfortunately antibiotics in any form are prescription only in the UK. Even if you could find a vet willing to prescribe for fish, it would be quite expensive :(
