Hi,
I'm currently looking at getting a larger tropical tank to replace my juwel delta 300 corner tank (so I can keep more catfish )...
As the Juwel is a nice tank I'm considering converting it to marine but so far not 100% sure what I'd need to convert it.
Currently I reckon on needing
1. Upgraded lighting
2. Power head(s)
3. Sump
4. Wier
5. Protein skimmer
I can figure out 2 and 5 easily enough its the rest I'm having issues with...
For the lighting does anyone have any suggestions (the tank would be for mostly soft corals and marine fish)
For the sump I'd use the largest sump I can fit in the cabinet but then I'm unsure on how to get water from the main tank into the sump and out again (Currently its got two external filters running which would move to the new tank)... would just a simple pump in the sump used to pump water to the main tank then a weir with overflow down to the sump work?
I've got the tropical side of life worked out - marine with all the equipment needed seems more complex but as much fun
(Finally managed to arrange my nano reef so all the corals are happy and not sulking )
