help to choose the right tankmate

I have 3 2"inch red pacu in my 55 gallon tank
what other fishes are compatible with these? .. besides silver dollars

can i add something like .. african cichlids , oscars , red parrot , jack dampsey... etc ? like other same size aggressive fishes with them? ... any ideas?

I don't think that keeping pacus with cichlids is a good plan, although it has been done with tamer cichlids. Pacus have a completely different temperment, and will not do well around cichlid aggression. In addition they tend to have a more vegetarian diet then any cichlid that might prove relatively compatable.

My bigger concern is the size that the pacus will reach. They are big, fast fish, and need a large amount of space. A 90 gallon tank is the minimum I would use for even one adult specimen.
