ok im compleatly scared i have an albino rainbow shark and he hides out under the rocks that i have in the other tank he will ocasionaly swim to the other one and he wont come out to feed i see him about once a day if that now. he has been like this for about a month and the other fish in the tank are acting perfectly normal all eating when i feed them and all so if you can help me please give me your comments and guidence about this thanks alot :(

i'm not the best at fish sicknesses, just thought i'd tell Fishie to hang in there until someone gets some good info up!

plus, i just thought i'd be stupid, but maybe another fish is harassing him? it's like a little kid, 'but mommy, i don't wanna go to school today. Billy's gonna beat me up again!' have you got any aggressive fish in the tank with him?

mabie your fishy just likes to come out at night. when the others are asleep.
if he is still alive and you say hes been in hiding for a month now then he is surely eating. so just watch and see. watch your other fish closly just incase he is sick

Probably the rainbow shark and one of the other fish are just not ment to be in the same tank. Have you seen your lfs to see whether all of the fish are compatible with each other in the tank?

I added a redtail shark to my tank recently. he's closely related to the rainbow shark. my firemouth and my barbs all get excited at feeding time, and all come to the top of the tank waiting... but the shark takes off and kinda hides in the plants. he's been eating algae like crazy, and his colour is great. i think he's just not into the other aggressive tank mates. maybe he just prefers to eat algae and to bottom feed at night.

like ginamoore says, if you've had him a month, he's got to be eating. how big is he? and what else is in the tank?
