Ok so my 2 electric blue acaras are fighting in their 37 gallon tank. I feel super bad about leaving them with a fish sitter for a week. Is there anything I can do in the mean time to reduce stress and aggressive behavior before I go? There's 4 Cory's 3 bristlenose and 2 electric blues. I'm well aware it's overstocked and electric blues need more space. I didnt know that when the person sold me the tank along with all the fish.
I have a buyer ready to pick up the fish when I get back but his tank won't be cycled until before. I really could use some help on reducing stress.
I attached a pic below of my setup. And i just added the bucket as like more habitat space?

Your set up is complex, and you couldn't add more. If the 23 fish could coexist, they would in such a set up. But likely, the luck of the draw has given you 2 males. Even mid sized cichlids have a way of making a person have more than one tank. They are not good fish to start with, and there are no solutions other than finding them a new home asap...

No more words needed... Too small to house two of them. Do you have an extra tank or something that could work as a tank? Just to separate those two...

I wish I did. I thought since the previous owners had all those fish together it would be ok. I was definitely wrong. I sold the oscar fish that was also in the tank before and am currently trying to remove the electric blues so I can just have peaceful fish that get along without an issue...

What about two separate buckets? They'll be fine in there for a short while. But be sure that they'll have enough space to move around.
