I just got a bristle nose pleco. i watch him all the time, and have waited a long time to get him. But now i started to worry becouse he never seemed to eat adn he wouldn't get on the glass to suck. to night i went to check on him to see that he had moved and i saw a large sack of fluid? sticking out of his lower belly/anus area it must have formed today. :-( i dont know what it is it is not red or broked, but just white like the rest of his belly. it probably hangs down about a centameter off his body.
thats all i know the prameters on my tank are fine and the tank is clean and cycled long ago. Please help him :-(

How big is the tank, I would remove him from the tank if you have somwwhere to put him, Are you sure it's a he.

You will need anti internal bacteria med, and some melafix.

yes i am sure it is a boy because he has alot of bristles and they branch and cover a large part of his forehead. he was added to my 20 gallon on saterday and the bloating started monday or tues? I think it must be dropsy. so i moved him last night to a quarentine tank. :-(

Best you have moved him with having a sac full of fluid don't want that infecting other fish,if he's not eating it's not a great sign, do you have any antibiotic treatments, you could of try a shelled pea but with him not eating well that won't work.
