Have just realised that my son unplugged my aquarium heater yesterday at around 6ish to plug in his PS2! The temperature is reading 16 c. Fish seem Ok though are staying near the bottom of the tank. Will they be OK now if I just leave the heater to bring the water back up to normal temperature. Thanks!

Dang!! I think they will be ok, the temperature shouldn't rise *very* fast though.

Thanks! I am leaving the temperature to rise just gradually. They are looking a bit more lively now! Just typical that this had to happen on such a cold night!

As punnishment tell him your are going to delete everything off his playstation memory card heh heh heh, that will teach him. :D

It isn't exactly his fault. I have left my heater unplugged on a few occasions just by forgetting after cleaning.
Why don't you get an adapter socket for the socket so that it doesn't happen again. :D

My son had just moved his PS2 from the lounge to the front room (where the tank is) because I wanted to watch Celebrity Big Brother, lol (how sad I am?!!!). So I suppose it is me being punished for my bad taste in TV programmes!

I write on the plug itself what it is for with a silver pen so if anyone need a spare socket they know what they are unplugging without having to play 'follow that wire to see what its attached to'

Yes, there are a lot of plugs being used in this room so I think marking each plug is an excellent idea, thanks!
